The conversation starts here

A role is more
than a title.

CMB welcomes enquiries from registered nurses and healthcare providers looking to discuss nursing requirements. A good match considers the nursing field, recent experience, the level of responsibility and the support available in the service.

We invite adult nurses, mental health nurses and nurses with relevant specialist experience to introduce themselves. A general registration of interest does not establish suitability for a particular post: the clinical brief, registration status and setting-specific requirements must be considered before a placement is agreed.

Official resource: Check registration with the NMC.

Details that make the difference

Better information.
Better conversations.

For professionals

Bring your experience.

  • Your nursing background

Share your field of registration, recent clinical settings, areas of competence and any limitations relevant to the proposed work.

  • The right environment

Discuss the patient or resident group, shift pattern, team structure and level of responsibility in which you work most confidently.

  • Registration and development

Be ready to discuss your current NMC registration and relevant learning. The NMC provides an official register for checking registration status.

Introduce yourself

For care providers

Define your requirement.

  • Clinical responsibility

Describe the nursing field required, expected duties, shift leadership responsibilities and how clinical support is accessed.

  • Competence for the setting

Explain essential recent experience, equipment familiarity and any practical assessments or local induction that are needed.

  • Clear communication

Identify the clinical lead, reporting arrangements and who will confirm the booking and review the completed timesheet.

Start a staffing enquiry

From first conversation to next steps

Clear at every stage.

01

Start with the brief

Share the role, setting, experience and working pattern you want to discuss.

02

Consider the details

Review suitability, relevant checks, training and any local requirements.

03

Agree the assignment

Confirm the location, responsibilities, hours and terms before work starts.

04

Keep the record clear

Use the agreed route for completed hours, approvals and follow-up questions.

Staffing and candidate enquiries are considered individually. A registration or request does not confirm a vacancy, an available worker or a booked shift. Portal workflows require an approved, active account.

Your questions

Good to know.

Can mental health nurses register?

Yes. Select Registered Mental Health Nurse when applying and describe your recent settings, experience and preferred working pattern.

Is an NMC PIN enough to confirm a booking?

No. Registration is one part of the process. Relevant experience, competencies, other recruitment checks and the specific assignment requirements also need to be considered.

Are nursing shifts guaranteed?

No. Availability, location, suitability, checks and agreed terms determine whether an assignment can be offered. The public opportunities page invites expressions of interest.
