The right environment.

Doctors, we would like to hear from you. Tell us about your specialty, experience and ambitions so that the next conversation starts in the right place.

The conversation starts here

A role is more
than a title.

Medical recruitment calls for a precise discussion of specialty, grade, scope of practice and the service’s expectations. CMB welcomes introductions from doctors and enquiries from organisations seeking to discuss medical staffing requirements.

A role title alone does not explain a clinical assignment. We ask about the responsibilities, supervision, patient setting and working pattern. Our medical talent pool is an invitation to discuss future opportunities; it is not an announcement of a particular vacancy, framework award or hospital contract.

Official resource: GMC guidance on the licence to practise.

Details that make the difference

Better conversations.

For professionals

Bring your experience.

  • A clear professional profile

Set out your specialty, grade, recent practice and the settings in which you have relevant experience. Include your GMC reference when the recruitment team requests it securely.

  • Registration and licence

Doctors practising medicine in the UK need the appropriate registration and a licence to practise. The GMC register is the official source for checking a doctor’s status.

  • Your preferences

Discuss location, travel, availability, out-of-hours commitments and the clinical responsibilities you are seeking. Flag requirements that need clarification early.

Introduce yourself

For care providers

Define your requirement.

  • Specialty and scope

Specify the grade, specialty, essential experience and any GP or specialist register requirements relevant to the post.

  • Service arrangements

Explain the rota, supervision, escalation arrangements, induction and systems the doctor will use.

  • Assignment details

Agree the location, dates, expectations and commercial terms. A staffing request is subject to candidate suitability and availability.

Start a staffing enquiry

From first conversation to next steps

Clear at every stage.

01

Start with the brief

Share the role, setting, experience and working pattern you want to discuss.

02

Consider the details

Review suitability, relevant checks, training and any local requirements.

03

Agree the assignment

Confirm the location, responsibilities, hours and terms before work starts.

04

Keep the record clear

Use the agreed route for completed hours, approvals and follow-up questions.

Staffing and candidate enquiries are considered individually. A registration or request does not confirm a vacancy, an available worker or a booked shift. Portal workflows require an approved, active account.

Your questions

Good to know.

Are these advertised doctor vacancies?

This page welcomes expressions of interest. A named vacancy needs a confirmed employer brief, specialty, location and terms before it can be presented as a live opening.

Can I discuss secure healthcare work?

Yes. Tell us about your relevant experience and interest in prison or secure settings. Clinical suitability and establishment-specific requirements need a separate discussion.

Does CMB offer immigration sponsorship?

This website does not offer or promise sponsorship. Ask the recruitment team about the requirements of a specific opportunity and your circumstances before making plans.
