IN-COUNTRY EMPLOYER CHANGES

Already building
a care career in the UK?

Our employer-change recruitment pathway is for UK-based Tier 2 (General) / Skilled Worker visa holders, including Health and Care Worker visa holders.

Skilled Worker is the current route name that replaced Tier 2 (General). Our recruitment focus is on people already in the UK on these routes. Eligibility depends on the person, role and sponsoring employer.

01

Your experience comes first

We discuss your care background, preferred setting and recruitment goals.

02

A suitable employer and role

Recruitment introductions depend on an actual opening and the employer’s assessment. Sponsorship is decided by the licensed hiring employer.

03

The right information for the next step

Use the current GOV.UK guidance and a regulated adviser for advice about your own immigration circumstances.

Before changing employer

A change of sponsored employer normally requires a new Certificate of Sponsorship and a visa update. Wait for permission before starting the new job. Care-worker and senior-care-worker rules have additional conditions; the job title alone does not establish eligibility.

CMB supports recruitment enquiries. Personal immigration advice should come from an IAA-registered adviser or another authorised legal professional. Guidance links checked 25 September 2026.
